The Ethos

A house that answers
to the weather it stands in.

Every project we take starts with the site. The angle of the winter sun off the water. The direction the nor'easter comes from. The way the granite sits under the topsoil. The prevailing view. A coastal home is not a floor plan — it is a small conversation with a specific piece of ground.

We build the house we would live in ourselves. Then we build it a little better than that.

Our work runs from ground-up custom homes to careful additions and full renovations on older Maine stock. What connects them is a commitment to materials that age honestly, framing that stays true, and details you can still stand behind twenty years after we hand over the keys.

What We Build

The work,
plainly stated.

Three doors into a project with Harbor Point. Every one begins with a walk of the site and a long, honest conversation about scope, timeline, and budget.

01

Custom Coastal Homes

Ground-up residences designed for a specific site: shingle-style, cape, or a modern reading of a Maine farmhouse. We work with your architect, or bring one of ours into the room.

  • Site & program consultation
  • Design-build option
  • Marine-grade envelope detailing
  • Legacy-oriented material choices
02

Additions & Wings

Adding a primary suite, a proper mudroom, a screened porch that keeps the view honest. We match roof lines, trim profiles, and eaves so the addition reads as if it had always been there.

  • Kitchens & primary suites
  • Screened porches & three-season rooms
  • Detached studios & carriage barns
  • Historic-sympathetic detailing
03

Whole-House Renovation

Older Maine stock — capes, saltboxes, farmhouses — brought forward without stripping their soul. Insulation, structure, systems, and finishes, coordinated end to end.

  • Full-envelope insulation & air sealing
  • Structural & foundation work
  • Electrical, HVAC & plumbing coordination
  • Historic window restoration
Representative scope — we tailor each engagement to your site and program.
How We Work

Four stages,
no surprises.

A predictable path from first walk to keys in hand — with a real budget and a real calendar at every checkpoint.

01

Site & Conversation

We meet you at the property. We listen more than we talk. You leave with a written summary of what we heard and a rough budget band you can trust.

02

Design & Estimate

Working with your architect or ours, we develop the drawings, refine the material palette, and lock a fixed estimate with clear allowances.

03

Build

A dedicated project lead. A weekly written update with photos. A tidy site. Real subs we've worked with for years, not the cheapest bid of the week.

04

Handover & Warranty

A proper walk-through, a full binder of manuals and finish specs, and a written warranty. And a call the following spring to see how it wintered.

Tell us about
the site.

We take on a small number of projects each year so we can give each one our full attention. The best time to start a conversation is a season or two before you'd like to break ground.
