The Cut

A precision or lived-in shape built around how your hair actually falls, dries, and grows. Consult, wash, cut, style.

Signature Color

Dimensional single-process, baby-lights, glosses, and root melts. Warm, cool, or somewhere in-between — we tune tone to your skin and season.

Hand-painted Balayage

Freehand lightening that grows out like it was always yours. Ideal for the low-maintenance, high-payoff client.

Scalp & Strand Care

Deep-conditioning masks, bond builders, and scalp treatments for hair that's been through it — weather, water, or a rough dye job.

Wedding & Event

Bridal previews, party updos, and quiet, calm on-site styling. Small parties only so nobody feels rushed.

Modern Love is built around the belief that hair should feel personal — not performed. Not a factory floor. Not a scroll.

The studio sits in the Kittery / York corner of coastal Maine, just close enough to the water that the light shifts through the afternoon. We keep the client list intentionally short so every appointment gets the room, time, and attention it deserves.

The philosophy is quiet: read the hair honestly, treat the person the way you'd want to be treated in the chair, and never over-promise a look you can't maintain in a Maine winter.
