Our story

The restaurant that grew up with York Beach.

Sun & Surf opened in 1963 and has stayed in the same family ever since. Generations of locals have worked summer shifts here, while generations of guests have returned for the same view, the same welcome, and another meal by the Atlantic.

Come in from the sand for breakfast, settle onto a deck for dinner, or walk up to the takeout window for beach-day food and Maine-made ice cream.

Parties of eight or more may reserve indoor seating for lunch or dinner by phone. Smaller parties are first come, first served. Breakfast is always walk-in.
